Where are you living? We're from Pakenham, Victoria, where we've been living for the past 14 months.

Tell us a bit about yourselves personally. We are a young couple who got married in September 2015. Fabian enjoys playing cricket and basketball while Sarah enjoys making jewellery and decorating the house.

Tell us a bit about your property investment journey. What challenges have you faced? What has helped you along the way? We are both new to investing and looking forward to seeing what we can achieve. We are looking to gain financial freedom at an early age. Being new to property investment has thrown us many challenges, ranging from where to buy to what type of property to purchase, as well as structuring loans. But with the help of our property mentor Roger Galway and our families, it has made the process much easier. roger has been with us the whole time and has been an immense help to us. With his fantastic knowledge and understanding of property investment, Roger has always only been a phone call away.

What does your property portfolio look like today? We have our existing home and one investment property in Darwin, which was purchased through Property Club. hopefully there will be many more to come!

What is your best advice for early-stage investors? Get into the market! Don’t worry if it’s not your dream home – you will not be living in it and you cannot become attached to it.

What would you do differently on your investment journey if you had the chance Nothing. We feel like the Club has fully supported us through this journey.

What investment goals do you hope to accomplish in the next five years? We are hoping to purchase a few more properties and continue to build our investment property portfolio with the help of Property Club.

"We have our existing home and one investment property in Darwin, which was purchased through Property Club."

What is the most rewarding aspect of property investing? It’s a form of passive income and it also helps us diversify our investment portfolio.

What helps keep you motivated to continue investing? The idea of gaining financial freedom for ourselves and our future family is what keeps us motivated.

Why did you become an investor? Well, the main reason was to gain financial freedom, but we also wanted to get in as soon as possible as the property market doesn’t look to be slowing down any time soon.

How do you measure success? Success for us is measured by happiness! you can have all the money in the world but if you’re not happy, what good would it be?

How did you first get involved with Property Club? Sarah’s dad passed on Roger’s details to us as they were old classmates from school.

What was your first impression of Property Club? At first we were a bit sceptical and didn’t know what to expect. We thought there would be some sort of catch, but we soon realised they are really there to help you, and they do a fantastic job. Plus, it’s free!

What has surprised you most about working with Property Club? The amount of time they take to help support members because they genuinely care about them. Even after the property has settled, roger still follows up and helps us stay organised.

What is the best thing to happen since you joined Property Club? We have a passion for investment and have learnt so much. It's good knowing we won’t be alone in our property investment journey.

What do you wish other people knew about Property Club? It's free, and such an amazing service. Best of all, they are there to help you.

What’s your personal philosophy on property investment? Sit on the property and eventually you will make your money back and more. Talk to people who are in the industry and continue to build your knowledge.

Tell us about someone that has influenced your decision to invest in property. Our parents! They continue to give us advice and have our best intentions in mind.

What would you tell someone who is thinking about investing in property? Do it! Just get into the market and you will not regret it. Interest rates are the lowest they have ever been.

What do you think will change with the property market in the next five years? We don’t think anything major will change, however, prices will still steadily increase.

What do you do when you aren’t working and investing? We love to travel and we are about to head off to europe for a holiday.

If you could have dinner with one living or non-living person, who would it be Michael Jordan – being big NBA fans it would be good to sit down and chat to him about how he handled being one of the greatest to play his sport. We would also love to know how he faced the challenges that came his way and what life lessons he has learnt.

From which single individual have you learnt the most in your life? What did they teach you? Our parents. They have brought us up to be the people we are today and have continually been by our side through all of life's challenges.

What is your favourite travel destination and why? We have travelled to a few places, but we really enjoyed Japan.

What is the quality you most admire in others? Why? Trust – it tells you a lot about the person you are dealing with. Trust is something that is hard to build once it has been broken.

_Congratulations Fabian and Sarah! Thank you for sharing and good luck with your investing.
